In Part 1, we discussed the confusion about Hemp Extract (CBD) products, why we minimize the number of ingredients in Strength of Hope products and how it enhances the effectiveness of the products. We also discussed the importance of third-party testing at every stage of the research, formulation and manufacturing process. And finally, we discussed what is NOT in our products.

Here in Part 2, we will talk about the ingredients we use in our topical Hemp Extract products: Hemp Extract Relieve Balms and Hemp Extract Relieve Roll-On Oils. Of course, our ingredients are listed on the label of each of our products.

Why we utilize Natural Shea Butter/Olein

Shea Butter/Olein comes from the fruit seeds of the Shea (Karite) tree and is naturally rich in Vitamins A, E and F. Shea Butter/Olein can provide the skin with essential fatty acids and nutrients such as oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids that are needed to produce collagen. It’s also frequently used to help combat dry, itchy skin and create a barrier for natural skin protection.

Because Shea Butter/Olein penetrates into the skin and tissues, it’s a great emollient, pampering skin with nourishing comfort. We like Shea Butter/Olein for its rapid absorption, skin protection and non-oily qualities, and as a great complement to Hemp Extract.

Why we utilize Pure Coconut Oil

Fruit from the coconut tree has long been recognized to be beneficial to the skin, and Coconut Oil is a wonderful moisturizer. It has highly emollient, skin penetrating properties that can greatly improve and maintain skin hydration and help keep skin looking youthful.

Coconut oil is a skin superfood, containing about 50% lauric acid, a median chain fatty acid responsible for many of coconut oil’s skin nourishing benefits. Coconut oil’s antioxidants can help create a protective layer on the skin against the damage of free radicals, keeping skin healthy-looking.

We like coconut oil because it is such a great moisturizer, is good for the skin and has natural antibacterial qualities.

Why we utilize Natural Lavender

Lavender is part of the mint family and is known for its sweet floral smell. The history of Lavender goes back some 2500 years in areas of India, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Called Nardus by the Ancient Greeks, lavender was one of the Holy herbs used to prepare the Holy Essence and Nard. The Romans used lavender in their baths, clothes and hair.

Lavender is known for its calming and soothing effects. Known more for its mood calming effects, lavender in lotions and creams may have similar calming and soothing effects on the skin, muscles and joints.

The environment, sun exposure and even everyday stress can be taxing on the skin. Lavender contains antioxidants that can help enhance and smooth the skin.

Lavender’s calming and soothing qualities make it a positive addition to our hemp extract products.

Why we utilize Natural Organic Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree oil comes from the leaves of the small tea tree native to Australia, generally utilizing an extraction steaming process.  The tree grows quickly and the leaves can often be harvested in as little as 6 months. It is important not to confuse it with the plant used in making black or green tea.

Tea Tree Oil for years has been used for relief of many skin concerns to improve the overall appearance of the skin and pores, and as a soothing agent for irritated skin, and to reduce redness.
